Certification is composed of four parts, which includes three tests and a project. Satisfactory completion of all four elements results in certification. The tests cover three areas of expertise:
The project is designed to be a “real-life” example of workforce management skills to demonstrate the application of knowledge. Sample projects that are already approved by the SWPP Board of Advisors are listed here to make it easier for students; however, you may also submit a proposal for a different project.

SWPP Associate Certification is an addition to our workforce management certification program that will give workforce management specialists the opportunity to participate in the certification process. Since someone who is involved in only one specific area of our profession may not be ready to tackle the complete workforce management certification, SWPP is pleased to offer Associate Certification in each of the three testing areas:
Associate Certification is achieved by passing the specific test in your area and completing a project in that area as well.

The cost for re-testing if you do not successfully pass a test the first time is $50. You may also purchase a 90-day extension for your certification for $50 if you are not able to finish the certification in the original two-year period.
