Partnership Provides Solutions Designed to Help Enhance Employee Engagement and Performance Management

MELVILLE, N.Y. and Redwood City, Calif., September 5, 2013 Verint® Systems Inc. (NASDAQ: VRNT) today announced a global partnership with Badgeville. Incorporating Badgeville’s specialized and sophisticated gamification capabilities to the market-leading Impact 360® Workforce Optimization (WFO) software suite, Verint customers can benefit from powerful engagement mechanics, gamification solutions and behavior analytics designed to help motivate and drive employee performance.

Many companies are increasingly focused on driving positive experiences for both employees and customers, and are turning to gamification to address the customer experience and employee engagement. Verint’s software helps organizations use the voice of the customer to drive operational excellence for global contact centers, branch and back-office operations, marketing and customer experience, and financial compliance. Today, a growing number of companies are using Impact 360 to support their business gamification initiatives—which reinforces Verint’s announcement from earlier this year. This is achieved through a variety of sophisticated game mechanics and feedback loops, such as points, badges, scoreboards and leaderboards, as well as the advanced ability to track high-value behaviors and reward these in the form of missions for employee levels. This ultimately helps improve quality, productivity and employee engagement.

The partnership with Badgeville, which commenced earlier this year, further reinforces Verint’s approach to driving and supporting employee engagement, company goals and customer care. Badgeville’s Behavior Platform helps enable businesses to add proven game mechanics to motivate high-value employee and customer behavior across websites, online communities, mobile and enterprise applications. Verint customers will now have access to Badgeville’s advanced, real-time engagement capabilities that can encourage specific behaviors and achieve targeted customer experience and enhanced revenue goals.

“Our customers are looking for more ways to engage a new generation of employees through collaboration to improve performance, compliance and overall satisfaction,” says Chris Zaske, global vice president, enterprise workforce optimization, Verint Enterprise Intelligence Solutions. “By partnering with Badgeville, our customers can capitalize on the correlation between engaged, motivated and high-performing employees and the delivery of better customer experiences and stronger sales results.”

The move to drive more competitive and engaging customer care environments is further validated by the analyst community. According to research firm Gartner, “Gamification is a powerful tool to engage employees, customers and the public to change behaviors, develop skills and drive innovation.”[1] The firm also states, “By 2015, 40% of Global 1000 organizations will use gamification as the primary mechanism to transform business operations.”2

“Studies have shown that engaged employees are more productive and provide higher value to their respective businesses,” adds Kevin Akeroyd, senior vice president, field operations, Badgeville. “Verint is a clear market leader in providing the future of performance management solutions to its global customer base today.”
