March 13 –

When planning for the year or preparing monthly forecasts, be mindful of
“non-traditional” holidays.  They can impact volume, call distributions, and
absenteeism.

You could be in an industry that gets increased call volume around Valentine’s Day, for example.  But also make sure to take into consideration the number of romantics on your staff that may try to arrange additional time off.

Other days that could impact call volume or absenteeism are Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Super Bowl Sunday, and other various holidays.  Put together a list of non-traditional times that could impact your organization’s performance.  It can certainly make a difference when preparing for such events.
