Description

 

PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

 

The Workforce Analyst creates value for T. Rowe Price by implementing on a daily basis forecasting & planning activities for most non-exempt employees in Retail Operations. Centralized management is necessary to ensure that staffing resources are properly utilized across all business units within Operations. This is achieved by using knowledgeable judgment and analytical capability to determine the staffing needs of the business units to achieve their goals.

 

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Forecasting & Staff Planning: Using historical data, along with recent trends and known factors, forecasts monthly, weekly & daily volumes for most business units within Retail Operations. Through the use of workforce management software & analytic tools, we are able to provide quality forecasts based upon business unit objectives. The forecasts are continuously being evaluated to match trends and respond to business unit feedback. After the forecasts are completed daily analysis of staffing requirements are determined based upon the service level objective of the business units. Provide recommendations for times and attendance for training and other off-line activities through the use of specialized staffing software while still meeting our shareholder needs.  Conducts weekly meetings with the business line management to review staff plan and forecasts so that a quality plan is formulated.

 

Data Analysis: Provide proactive analysis of staff utilization to increase efficiencies within the business units. Assess areas of improvement and provide recommendations and partner with the business to execute the plans.

Staffing & Reporting Analysis: Uses historical data and current trends to identify the need for schedule realignments. Provides recommendations for  time off allowances.  Communicates with business partners to gain agreement and fully understand expectations and client goals.

 

Software Administration: Manages the firm’s tools for forecasting, staffing, and reporting. Ensures users are properly trained to use the system, that the system is operational, to work with IT and the vendor to troubleshoot issues, and to manage upgrades to the system as necessary.

 

Process Improvement: Identifies areas of opportunity to improve efficiencies within the schedule management processes and delivering valuable data to WPM & the contact center. Identifies short and long term strategies to achieve departmental goals.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

Required

 

College degree and 1 year of related work experience, or

Associate degree and 3 years related work experience, or

High School diploma/equivalent and 5 years related work experience

Analytical skills

Intermediate MS Excel and MS Access experience

Ability to balance multiple priorities

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Scheduling software experience and/or experience using Genesys

 

Preferred

 

College degree with T. Rowe Price experience preferred

Workforce Management experience preferred
