Position Title:Workforce Master Scheduler – Long Term Care

The Workforce Master Scheduler is an integral part to the efficiency of the scheduling workflow in Long Term Care. Oversees Staffing Coordinators, across 6 facilities, to implement a consistent and effective scheduling structure. Must have a willingness to lead and enforce change. Responsible for analyzing, tracking and monitoring nursing schedules to provide a staffing model that is high functioning across Long Term Care.

DEPARTMENT: Long Term Care Administration



  • Bachelor’s Degree required in a related field, Master’s Degree preferred
  • 3 years’ leadership experience with emphasis on workforce management required
  • 5 years’ experience in scheduling or production planning required
  • Working knowledge of KRONOS advanced scheduler required
  • Excellent project management abilities and strong technical skills
  • Strong problem solving, organizational and multi-tasking skills
  • Analytical background, ability to analyze, interpret and communicate data quickly
  • Must be capable of coordinating multi-site activities and have the interpersonal skills needed to facilitate change and improvement.
  • Demonstrated teamwork and collaboration, in a professional setting, with support to senior leadership


  • Responsible for all nurse scheduling across all of the Long Term Care facilities
  • Serves as the first approval step in requesting agency, overtime, incentive pay and other premium pay practices
  • Ensures position control and WorkDay are reconciled relating to open positions and positions being actively posted
  • Ensures Long Term Care salary expense tracking tool is updated daily and staffing is appropriate for safety and financial performance
  • With finance, develops standard and regular KRONOS and FORCE reports on a daily, weekly, bi-weekly and monthly basis related to operational needs
  • Structures schedules to meet the staffing needs of each facility, allowing for flexibility while having a functional schedule
  • Develops process to share employees across all Long Term Care facilities, and other RRH departments such as acute care, and outpatient departments
  • Directly Reports to the VP Operations Long Term Care
  • Direct Reports include schedulers in each Long Term Care facility


  • Schedule clarity and consistency for the employees and facility leadership
  • Increased instances of sharing employees across facilities and other affiliates. Error free KRONOS records for each pay period
  • Standard reports being reviewed and sent to Long Term Care leadership with a regular cadence
  • Reduced agency and premium pay expenses
